Here are the recommended steps of applying this overnight face mask:

STEP 1

This exfoliating mask must be used as the last step of your skincare routine.

STEP 2

After you complete cleansing and toning, take two pearl-sized dollops on your hand.

STEP 3

Place it on five points of your face and gently pat to absorb. It’s best to spread it from the centre outwards, for quick and effective absorption.

Use at night up to twice a week, as the last step of your skincare routine.

Pro-Tip: Make sure to apply a good amount of sunscreen the next morning, since your skin will be photo-sensitive, after exfoliation.

When can I start seeing visible effects after using the mask?

One can start experiencing visible changes after an overnight use. Results will improve with regular and consistent use. However, the results for every individual may vary.

What does it mean to exfoliate?

Exfoliating is the process of removing dead skin cells from the surface of your skin. Your skin naturally sheds dead skin cells to make room for new cells every 30 days or so. But sometimes, dead cells don’t shed completely. This results in dry, flaky patches and clogged pores. Exfoliating skin regularly can help prevent this.

How does exfoliation benefit your skin?

Exfoliating can improve the appearance of your skin in several ways. Exfoliation can leave your skin looking brighter and improve the effectiveness of topical skin care products by enhancing absorption. Regular exfoliation will help prevent clogged pores, resulting in fewer breakouts.

What are AHAs and BHAs?

An AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) is a chemical exfoliant which works by peeling away the dead skin cells on the skin surface, revealing fresh new skin cells underneath. A BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid) is also a gentle chemical exfoliant that works on the skin surface and inside the pores. BHAs work on a deeper level to clear trapped sebum in the pores and prevent new clogs from forming. AHAs and BHAs yield fuller skin when used together. This may be due to increased collagen production, which can make both the dermis and epidermis visibly plumper.

Why should one chemically exfoliate skin?

AHAs and BHAs are both effective at removing dead skin cell build-up and smoothing the skin, in a very gentle manner. Since them both encourage the shedding of old, discoloured dead skin cells, AHAs and BHAs help fade dark marks and even out skin tone. That means skin will reflect more light and look brighter and radiant.

Your product states an active ingredient called ‘Encapsulated BHA’. How is it different from regular BHA?

Salicylic acid is the most common BHA. Due to its poor solubility in water, Salicylic acid usually has a limit to application for cosmetic formulations without alcohol, which then causes skin irritation. Our BHA has a unique encapsulated wall around it (oligomer complex capsule wall) because of which Salicylic acid becomes totally soluble in water – thus, causing absolutely no skin irritation.

Can I use this in day time?

The right way to use this product and gain maximum benefit would be to use at night after cleansing/toning as the last step in your skincare routine. There is no requirement to use a moisturiser after.

Make sure to use a good amount of sunscreen the next morning, this is crucial as skin will be photosensitive post exfoliation.

Can I use this every night?

An exfoliating mask can be used up to 2 times a week. Excessive exfoliation can cause the skin to dry out and lose out on necessary oils.

Can I replace my night cream with this product?

Both - sleeping mask and night cream serve different purposes. This exfoliating sleeping mask when applied removes dead skin and gives a radiant look overnight. It can be used up to 2 times a week, whereas a night cream can be used every night.

However, there is no need to use a night cream after applying a sleeping mask.
